Moorland 'embracing' figurines
Two clay sculptures, marked on all sides by a blade. These images were captured by an experimental device used to photograph potentially fragile artefacts from inside their preservative vats. The visual motif of huddling or embracing figures has been found in communities across the Lye Planet: see for comparison the High Desert or Western Mines figurines.
